If I buy new windows do they need to be double glazed ?

In order to comply with government building regulations document ‘L’ most new steel windows are manufactured as double glazed. When we install your windows we will provide you with a FENSA certificate Which in future will be required  when you sell your property as part of the Home Information Pack.

If your property is listed, or in a conservation area however you may

not find it necessary to install double glazed windows as standard.

We recommend  that you check with the conservation officer at your

local authority who will advise you on your best course of action.
