Leaded Light Glazing

Many leaded light windows have been either damaged or have reached an age where the ravages of time have affected the stability of the lead. Whether the design is old or new, simple or complex, Cotswold Casements have the expertise to carry out this form of work.

These problems can seldom be resolved in situ, however, they can be overcome by removal of the damaged light whereupon repairs can be undertaken by craftsmen in our workshop.

Glass is cleaned and missing panes matched from our extensive stocks. Damaged leads are either
repaired with matching lead cames or replaced and the whole light cemented and polished. The assembly is then secured back into its original opening. Whether the design is old or new, simple or
complex, all Cotswold Casement's leaded lights are given individual treatment.

The panes can be square, rectangle, diamond, round, tipcat or to individual requirements. Reinforcing saddle bars and obscure antique and bullion glasses are also available.

Traditional leaded light windows are all hand finished to a high standard by our own experienced
CRAFTSMEN window makers.
