Coombe
Abbey, near Coventry, Warwickshire
This Abbey
dates from 1150 and the earliest remaining building dates from the 16th
century. All of the old windows were removed from the existing buildings,
transported to Cotswold Casements workshops for refurbishment. Existing
glass was saved where possible, other glass being sourced from Poland.
Frames where
grit blasted, repaired and surfaces treated with special paint. Unique
cog fittings were repaired and refurbished and then returned to site for
installation and glazing.
